BOYYYY! YEY!

We told my extended family on November 26th.
We went to Ultrasona on December 3rd.
We went to the OB on December 8th.
We will be testing for birth defects through blood work on December 13th. I won't know the results of this until my January OB appointment.
Our next OB appointment is January 5th. We will be getting an ultrasound and meeting with the nurst this day.

Tessa and I told my youngest cousin, Keirsten, on Friday that we had a secret but she'd have to wait until Saturday to hear it. So it was perfect timing because the whole family was sitting in the living room at Mamaw and Papaws. I asked Keirsten if she wanted to know the secret because I was ready to tell her. So I whipsered in her ear and told her that I was going to have a baby. She was of course excited and I asked her who she wanted to tell and she said MY MOMMY, so I told her to go and tell her. She did and her mom was excited, and clapping and stuff. Then my uncle Kent said I know the secret, Babette is pregnant! I was like uh, no actually I am, and everyone heard me and was excited. We borrowed a doppler (which is where you can hear the heartbeat) from a girl at work. We let everyone hear the heartbeat. Keirsten wanted to take a picture, she was the only one that got a picture from that day.
We, also, took the doppler over to Tony's moms house and let them hear the heartbeat also. They were excited and amazed that we could hear it.

This is the doppler. I know it looks weird, but the heartrate was 163. It stayed between 160-170.

 When we went to find out the gender it was such an awesome experience. We went to Ultrasona, which is where they do 3D and 4D. We got to hear the heartbeat, and see our little baby. Weighing in at a whopping 5oz, our little baby is healthy as can be. There was a huge room, with a sectional, and a bed. I, of course, was on the bed. Tony sat on the sectional beside me. We seen the little guys penis before she even said anything. She did some measurements and was measuring his femur and then went over to his other leg and let me just say, he wasn't shy. It was the most amazing feeling to see him moving around inside of me. Although I can't completely feel him yet, which I'm sure will be even more amazing then seeing him move around, it was one of the best days of my life, so far. I can't explain the feelings I had when I seen him up on the screen. I can only say that my heart grew bigger and I am so happy to say that I am going to be a mother to this little baby boy, Brody. The 2D pictures that we got of him 'showing off his stuff' weren't the best so the only ones we have where you can see it are in 3D, which I'll post. After we left Ultrasona we went to Party City and got some balloons, because the way we told our families was by putting balloons in a box and letting them come up as we opened the box.
When we got to his moms house we let his two younger sisters, Ali and Morgan open the box. They were all shocked because everyone was expecting girl. We looked at the pictures and watched the DVD and talked about how Ultrasona was.
When we got to my parents house I had the big box and everyone wanted to peak inside. We had to wait on Tony to get back with the pizza, so it was like a lifetime went by before they could find out. Brooklynn kept asking what was in the box and kept wanting to see the balloons. I let her help me open it, just like at Tonys moms house everyone was surprised because they thought it was going to be a girl. We watched the video and looked at the pictures, Brooklynn loved the video. She kept saying 'I really like this. He looks like Brayden. It's like a movie.' Also, she kept posing like Brody was in the video.

At the appointment on the 8th we met with the nurse and she let us hear the heartbeat. His heartrate was around 153. They also did my blood pressure, it was 120/50. They also had me do a urinalysis. Which I was kind of annoyed about because I had peedright when we got to the doctor and they didn't mention anything to me. Good thing I have to pee all the time!

This is only on here because a couple girls at work call my little baby a caniac because I loooove canes haha. I thought it was pretty funny that when we got it our cups said 'raise a little cane' because that's what we're doing. Raising a little *caniac. :)
